Rachel Morrison

Rachel Morrison was born in Massachusetts on April 27, 1978. She won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Cinematographer in 2017 for Mudbound. The film also received a nomination for Best Achievement in Cinematography in2018. Her work in What Happened, Miss Simon? in 2015 received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Nonfiction Program. She also won the Kodak Vision Award for Women in Film Lucy Award in 2013.

She directed an episode in the TV series Quantico in 2015 and two episodes in American Crime. Her cinematography credits include The Hills TV series, The Conversation, and Oprah’s Master Class. She was the director of photography for Three Nights, Three Days: Endeavour’s Journey Through Los Angeles. She served in the same capacity in Black Panther.
