Polly A

Meleni Smith, AKA Polly A, was born in Flint, Michigan. She is a Harlem based singer-songwriter best known for her R&B/reggae/Alternative Hip-Hop style. In 2012 she released her first EP, My Heart in Focus, which included the tracks “Liquid Stars,” “Vulnerable,” “Denial,” and “The Last Laugh.” She has written music for many artists including Alicia Keys, Selena Gomez, Natasha Bedingfield and J.Cole. She co-wrote the popular song “Crooked Smile” with J.Cole, which has now gone platinum. “Crooked Smile” was also nominated at the 2013 Soul Train Music Awards for Record of the Year. She was signed in 2015 by 222 Records. She released her debut EP, Ghetto Gold Dream, which was a huge hit on YouTube and Soundcloud. Her hit songs include “The Brooklyn Sun”and “Just Like That.”
