Paul Simon

Born on October 13, 1941, Paul Frederic Simon came from Newark, New Jersey. He is among the most respected songwriters in music history. Back in the ‘60s, his songs were sensible and mature, with melodies that engage the listeners. As a young boy, Simon had the passion for baseball and music. By the time he was a teenager, he developed a liking for R&B music. He is also a good friend of Art Garfunkel, which in turn made them perform as a duo called as Tom and Jerry.

Simon sought for a solo career, and in 1958, he took the moniker True Taylor and made singles “True or False” and “Teen Age Fool.” Under the name Jerry Landis, he also landed a record deal and released the debut single “Anne Belle” b/w “Loneliness.”
