NBA Youngboy (a.k.a. YoungBoy NeverBrokeAgain) was born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden on October 20, 1999 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He dropped out of school in the ninth grade to pursue his music career and released his first mixtape, Life Before Fame, in 2015.  More mixtapes followed and 2016’s  .38 Baby, featuring appearances by Boosie BadAzz and Kevin Gates, proved to be his breakout hit.

While incarcerated on attempted murder charges in 2016, YoungBoy released several tracks, including “Win Or Lose” and “Too Much.”  He served six months before reaching a plea deal and dropped “Untouchable” upon his release.  July 2017 brought “41” and included appearances by Meek Mill, Young Thug, 21 Savage, and more.  He released mixtape AI YoungBoy in August 2017, with features from Yo Gotti and Peewee Longway.
