MuteMath

Coming from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, Mutemath was formed in 2003. It got its roots when Paul Meany, former member of Earthsuit, made a long-distance music correspondence with Darren King. They exchanged CD-Rs back and forth between New Orleans and Springfield, Missouri. Soon after, King was convinced to relocate to New Orleans and start the new band. Then, they added Greg Hill and Roy Mitchell-Cardenas to form Mutemath.

In 2003, the compositions of Meany and King was used for their EP in 2004 entitled “Reset” under the new launching label Teleprompt. It became successful enough that Teleprompt and Mutemath made a distribution deal with Warner Bros, reissuing the EP in 2005.
