Murray Gold

Murray Jonathan Gold was born on February 28, 1969, in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. He has been nominated for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards five times. Her most significant work is as the composer for Doctor Who since 2005.

His earliest composing work was in 1996 for Black Eyes. The year after, he worked on Mojo and the TV documentary Arthouse: Rebel with a Cause. He also worked on a documentary for Vanity Fair and the TV series, Love in the 21st Century and Queer as Folk.

He also worked on Shameless, The Musketeers, Life Story, Tofu, Cucumber, Last Tango in Halifax, Come Home and A Very English Scandal. His works on TV movies include Hawking, Perfect Parents, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
