MoStack

MoStack, was born in Hornsey, London, on the August 31st, 1994. Making major waves on the UK urban music scene, ever since he released his breakthrough “No Buddy” on Link Up TV’s YouTube channel in November, 2014, MoStack was hailed as one of the artists to look out for in the year 2017, by BBC 1Xtra.

Mostack often says that his inspiration comes from growing up in a rough neighbourhood, being exposed to gang violence and police brutality, and is self-admittedly, a little “anti-social, but is getting better at it”. His debut mixtape album, Gangster with Banter, released in 2016, with a whopping 21 tracks, was lauded for being original, with his evident signature style of taking on real issues but with a twist of humour. He calls himself someone “serious, but with a funny side” and tracks such as, ‘F*ck Your Man’ and ‘Getting Shot Was A Blessing’, go on to prove that the young rapper has a way of connecting with his listeners.

With tracks such as “Block Popping” and “Liar Liar”, he has grossed over 11 million views on YouTube. His talent and unique style was finally acknowledged with a nomination for Best Newcomer in the 2016 UK MOFO Awards. He frequently collabs with other UK rappers MIST and J Hus. Efforts on his new album continues, but with no confirmed release date yet, fans can only get glimpses through his Instagram page where he regularly posts videos snippets of coming work.
