Miley Ray Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November the 23rd 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee is an American actress, singer and songwriter.  The daughter of acclaimed country singer, Billy Ray Cyrus, she became a teen idol with her starring role in the Disney Channel television show, Hannah Montana, and the associated films between 2006 and 2011.

She then went on to establish herself as a singer outside of the show, and has gone on to have five number one and eleven top ten albums in the US charts. Some of her top hits include See You Again, the Climb, 7 Things, Can’t Be Tamed, Party in the U.S.A and Wrecking Ball. So far the young artist has been nominated for almost a hundred and seventy awards and has won sixty so far.
