Mack Wilds

Tristan Paul Mack Wilds, the actor and recording artist who goes simply by the name Mack Wilds, was born on July 15, 1989, in Staten Island, New York. He began acting at a young age, and in 2005, his debut came about in the mini-series entitled Miracle’s Boys about two teenagers who tragically lose their parents. Mack Wilds later made a few appearances on hit crime shows Cold Case and Law & Order. His big screen debut came alongside Ryan Gosling in the 2006 drama Half Nelson, which he followed with a 2008 role in The Secret Life of Bees with Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning.

In 2011, Mack Wilds released a free EP entitled Remember, Remember. He was signed to the Remi Fa record label the next year when he began collaborating with music producer Salaam Remi, and the two recorded and released New York: A Love Story, Wilds’ debut album from 2013. It is a rap/R&B album that tells of love and loss in the city, and gained him recognition as being a versatile entertainer. His most popular roles to date, however, are as Michael Lee on HBO’s The Wire and as Dixon Wilson on the CW’s 90210.
