Loni Love is an American comedian, television host, actress, and author born in Detroit, Michigan on July 12, 1971. Before getting into the entertainment industry, she worked as an electrical engineer. While in college she started performing comedy and while working as an engineer at Xerox in California she would perform at the Laugh Factory. After seven years working at Xerox she quit to pursue comedy full-time. In 2009 she recorded her first one-hour comedy special titled America’s Sister. In 2013 she published the comedy advice book Love Him Or Leave Him, But Don’t Get Stuck With The Tab. In 2004 she made her debut in film in the movie With or Without You, and continued landing roles in the films Bad Asses on the Bayou, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Gutshot Straight, Bad Asses, Soul Plane, and Mother’s Day. In 2004 she landed her first role in a television show on the show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and has since had roles in the shows Cuts, Thick and Thin, Whitney, Kickin’ It, American Dad!, and Kevin Can Wait. She has been the host or guest star on the shows Star Search, Weekends at the DL, GSN Live, Heads Up!, I Love the 2000s and others. In 2018 she won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host for hosting the show The Real.
