KSHMR is the stage name of Niles Hollowell-Dhar, an EDM DJ in the California bay area. He is the son of Indian immigrants and chose his name from the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. He started out as a member of Berkeley production outfit The Cataracs before going it solo. He has made DJ Mag magazine’s list of “Top 100 DJs” three years in a row.
KSHMR’s collaborations include artists Firebeatz, R3hab, Tiësto, Hardwell, Carnage, Timmy Trumpet, and DallasK. He is best known for his performance at Miami, Florida’s Ultra Music Festival. He has released three EPs and dozens of singles as lead artist, the outstanding one being “Secrets (with Tiësto featuring Vassy)” (2015) which charted top-40 six countries.
