Kenny Chesney, born Kenneth Arnold Chesney in Powell, TN, is an American country music singer. He has released 15 albums to date; three are certified Gold, nine are certified Platinum or higher. Chesney has released 56 singles, 22 of which have hit number 1 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Some of his most famous songs are “She’s Got It All”, “You Had Me From Hello”, “When the Sun Goes Down”, “There Goes My Life”, and “There Goes My Life”. Chesney’s 2007 tour, Flip-Flop Summer Tour, was the year’s highest-grossing country tour. He received the CMA’s Entertainer of the Year in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008. He has also won four consecutive Entertainer of the Year awards from the Academy of Country Music. He has collaborated with Uncle Kracker, Jimmy Buffett, Tim McGraw, and Grace Potter, among others. He cites country legends like Willie Nelson, George Strait, Conway Twitty, and Lefty Frizzell among his influences. Garth Brooks runs a basketball program for impoverished children in Chicago, and has produced a few documentaries for ESPN including “Boys of Fall” and “The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story”.
