Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson was born in Abilene, Texas, on July 10, 1980. As a child, she was known for her talent as a singer in the local Baptist Church, and decided to pursue a career in singing when she was discovered by Tommy Mottola, an executive from Columbia Records. She released her debut single “I Wanna Love You Forever” on the Columbia label in 1999, which preceded her debut album Sweet Kisses that same year. The album went double Platinum, and she later followed it with her second studio album titled Irresistible in 2001 and later In This Skin in 2003. The third album went three times Platinum in the United States. After releasing a Christmas album, Jessica Simpson put out her fifth album titled A Public Affair in 2006, just before landing a role in the film Employee of the Month. In addition to her singing career and a budding film career, the singer launched her clothing line Jessica Simpson Collection in 2006, two years before she released the album Do You Know.
