Jamie Foxx is an American actor, comedian, singer, songwriter, and record producer born in Terrell, Texas on December 13, 1967. In 1989 he performed comedy for the first time at an open mic night. He made his debut on television in 1991 after landing a spot on the comedy sketch show In Living Color and has since made appearances and had roles in the shows Roc, Moesha, The Jamie Foxx Show, Saturday Night Live, White Famous and others. In 1992 he made his debut in film in the movie Toys and continued landing roles in the films The Players Club, Bait, Ali, Ray, The Kingdom, The Soloist, Due Date, Horrible Bosses, Django Unchained and more. In 1993 Foxx filmed his first stand-up special Jamie Foxx: Straight from the Foxxhole. He has also released the stand-up specials Jamie Foxx: I Might Need Security and Jamie Foxx Unleashed: Lost, Stolen and Leaked. Foxx has released 5 studio albums, including Peep This, Unpredictable, Intuition, Best Night of My Life, and Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, two Grammy Awards and more.
