Jamal Crawford

Jamal Crawford is an American professional basketball player born in Seattle, Washington on March 20, 1980. He is currently a shooting guard and point guard for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association. Crawford played basketball in high school at Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington. He went on to play college basketball for the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2000. In 2000 he was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round, 8th overall, in the 2000 NBA Draft. He was traded on draft day to the Chicago Bulls. In 2004 he was traded to the New York Knicks and played with the Knicks until 2008. Crawford was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2008 for Al Harrington. In 2009 he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton. He played with the Hawks until 2011 and in 2011 Crawford signed with the Portland Trail Blazers until 2012. From 2012 to 2017 he played with the Los Angeles Clippers and in 2017 he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves until 2018. With the Timberwolves he won the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. In 2018 he signed with the Phoenix Suns, where he currently plays.
