Gaz Coombes

Gaz Coombes is an English singer, songwriter, and musician born in Oxford, England on March 8, 1976. He is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the English alternative rock band Supergrass. Coombes started his music career at 16 years old as the lead singer of the band The Jennifers. In 1992 the group disbanded and in 1993 Gaz helped form the band Supergrass with Mick Quinn and Danny Goffey. Together they released six studio albums, three compilation albums, and three EPs before disbanding in 2010. As a solo artist Coombes released his debut studio album in 2012 titled Here Come the Bombs with the label Hot Fruit. He has also released the albums Matador and World’s Strongest Man and the EPs Matador (De Capo) EP and Live In Paris EP.
