Dustin Pedroia

Born in Woodland, California on August 17, 1983, Dustin Pedroia was the second round pick of the Boston Red Sox in the 2004 MLB Amateur Draft. His current position is second baseman. In college, he went to Arizona State University. He made his debut on August 22, 2006. He has been in four All-Star Games – from 2008 to 2010 and in 2013. He had also been named as the American League Rookie of the Year in 2007, AL MVP in 2008, AL Wilson Defensive Player in 2012, 2013, and 2016 and the AL Wilson Overall Defensive Player in 2013. He also received four gold gloves – in 2008, 2011, 2013, and 2014 and a silver slugger award in 2008. He remains to be a player for the Red Sox and his contract with the team will expire in 2022.
