Dinosaur Jr.

Dinosaurs Jr. is an alternative band formed in 1983 in Amherst, Massachusetts. The current members of the group are Lou Barlow, Murph or Emmett Murphy in real life, and J Mascis whose real name is Joseph D. Mascis.

The group originally signed with SST, an Indie label. In 1985, their self-titled debut album was released. Sonic Youth discovered them and they went on the band’s tour in 1986. Dinosaurs Jr. released You’re Living All Over Me under it in 1987. The next year, they released “Freak Scene” as a single and in the same year dropped the album Bug.

In 1992, they released Whatever’s Cool with Me, an EP followed by the album Where You Been in 1993. In 2016, the group released Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not.
