Demaryius Thomas is an American professional football player born in Montrose, Georgia on December 25, 1987. He is currently a wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He played football in high school at West Laurens High School in Dexter, Georgia. He went on to play college football at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2009. In 2010 he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round, 22nd overall, in the 2010 NFL Draft. He signed a five-year contract for $12.155 million with $9.35 million guaranteed. He played his debut game in the NFL against the Seattle Seahawks and had eight receptions for 97 yards and scored a touchdown. In the 2015 season Thomas became a Super Bowl champion when the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50. In 2018 Thomas was traded to the Houston Texans, but was released by the Texans in 2019. In 2019 he signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 688 receptions, 9,330 receiving yards, and 62 receiving touchdowns.
