Davido

David Adedeji Adeleke was born on November 21, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, but was relocated to Lagos at a young age. David is well known by his stage name of Davido and had an early start in music when he started his own record label along with his brother Adewale Adeleke, called the MTN Brand at age 13. He has worked with different artists such as NPZ, Dammy Krane, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Tuface and more. He was first noticed for his song in 2011 called “Back When” that features the Nigerian rapper Naeto C.  His debut album was released in 2012 called Omo Baba Olowo that included his single. He started his own label called Davido Music Worldwide (DMV) after signing a record deal with Sony Music in January 2016. Davido has received 29 awards from 74 nominations as of December 2014, winning such awards as BET, a Kora, channel O Music video, a Ghana Music Award, 2 MTV Africa Music Awards, and more.
