Daniel Craig was born on March 2, 1968, in Chester. The English actor is best known for his role as James Bond. Craig stepped into the role of James Bond in 2006 in Casino Royale. He has starred in three Bond films since Casino Royale. Outside of the Bond franchise, Craig has starred in films including the American adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and Cowboys and Aliens (2011).
Craig won the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Actor in an Action Movie in 2013 for the Bond movie Skyfall. In 2017, he received Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for his portrayal of the title role in the off-Broadway production of Shakespeare’s Othello.
Bond villain Christoph Waltz has said that he will reprise his role in the next two Bond films under the condition that Daniel Craig is James Bond. Craig will reportedly star in the next two films, including Bond 25, which is set to be released in 2019.
