Dan Brown

Dan Brown is an American author born in Exeter, New Hampshire on June 22, 1964. He is best known for his thriller novels Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno, and Origin. His books have sold over 200 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 57 different languages. After graduating from college he started producing music and made a children’s cassette titled SynthAnimals. He started his own record company and released his debut album titled Perspective in 1990. In 1994 he released his second album titled Angels & Demons. While on vacation in Tahiti in 1993 he read The Doomsday Conspiracy by Sidney Sheldon and was inspired to become a thriller writer. He started working on his first thriller titled Digital Fortress. While working on that he co-wrote a book with his wife titled 187 Men to Avoid: A Survival Guide for the Romantically Frustrated Woman and released it under the pseudonym Danielle Brown. In 1998 his book Digital Fortress was published. Not too long after he and his wife released another humor book titled The Bald Book that is credited to his wife. Brown has since written the books Deception Point, Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno, and Origin. In 2006 his book The Da Vinci Code was made into a feature-film by Columbia Pictures and in 2009 Angels & Demons was also made into a film.
