Cowboy Junkies

Cowboy Junkies is a Canadian alternative country and folk rock band formed in 1985 in Toronto, Canada. The members of the band are Margo Timmins on vocals, Michael Timmins on guitar, Alan Anton on bass guitar, and Peter Timmins on drums. Three of the members of the band are siblings. The members of the group have never changed but they occasionally use guest musicians on their albums. In 1986 they released their debut album titled Whites Off Earth Now!! that was produced by Peter Moore. They released their second album The Trinity Sessions in 1987 and received international recognition after the release of their second album. The album got a spot in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. They have since released the albums Black Eyed Man, Lay It Down, Miles From Our Home, Open, At The Ends of Paths Taken, One Soul Now, The Caution Horses, Pale Sun, Crescent Moon and more. In total they have released 16 studio albums, 5 live albums, 2 EPs, and 8 compilation albums. They have performed on a number of television shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The David Letterman Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Saturday Night Live among others. In 2015 the band was inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame.
