Cobi

Cobi is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born in Grand Marais, Minnesota on July 28, 1986. He got into music at 8 years old and learned how to play guitar from a family friend. In 2008 he co-founded the band Gentlemen Hall. They quickly became popular and in 2009 they won an MTV Video Music Award for Best Breakout Boston Artist and played at the Billboard Music Awards in 2011. Together they released the albums Give Us Roots, Give Us Wings in 2010 and When We All Disappear in 2011. In 2015 the band disbanded and Cobi decided to pursue a solo career. In 2015 he signed with the label 300 Entertainment and in 2016 released his debut solo single “Don’t You Cry For Me.” In 2017 he released his debut solo EP titled Songs From the Ashes, Pt. 1 and followed it up in 2018 with the EP Songs From the Ashes, Pt. 2.
