Chromeo

Originating from Canada is the electro-funk duo Chromeo, which is comprised of David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel. Chromeo began in 2002, yet the two met in the 1990s and were performing under the monikers Dave 1 and P-Thugg. In 2004, they released their debut album She’s in Control, which was carried by their single “Needy Girl”. The album did not bring them much success, but they went on to release their sophomore album Fancy Footwork three years later. Shortly after, Chromeo collaborated with Daryl Hall, and later appeared at the 2010 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee. They later released the albums Business Casual in 2010 and White Women in 2014, which went to #11 in the United States.
