Chanel West Coast

Born Chelsea Dudley on September 1, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, the singer/songwriter adopted the stage name Chanel West Coast when she was only 17 after posting some of her music to her MySpace page. In 2008, she met Rob Dyrdek, host of the series Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory, and she was quickly offered a job as his receptionist. The show was later renewed by MTV and since 2014 has enjoyed five seasons of run time. Chanel West Coast also landed a spot on Rob Dyrdek’s show Ridiculousness in late 2011, making her a household name. During this time, Chanel West Coast’s music career had taken off after she met and signed with Lil Wayne’s label Young Money Entertainment. She released her debut single “Karl” from her hip-hop mixtape Now You Know in 2013. In early 2014, she released another single titled “Blueberry Chills”, and was featured on the album Young Money: Rise of an Empire in 2014, which won the BET Award for Best Group Album.
