Carbon Airways

French electronic music duo Carbon Airways, who became musically active in 2010, is comprised of brother and sister Enguérand et Éléonore Fernes. The two learned how to play the violin and cello at a young age, and enjoyed performing their instruments together. Later, the two added electric guitar and bass to their instrumental repertoire, and it was not long before they began experimenting with music and production of tracks on the computer. Eventually, they decided that Éléonore would provide the lyrics to the tracks while Enguérand would mix them, and thus Carbon Airways was born. In the spring of 2011, the duo was discovered by the Association Le Citron Vert, an organization which dedicates its time to finding and supporting electronic artists.

The year they were discovered, Carbon Airways released their first EP entitled Shake Your Rage, which was made available in two parts, and shortly after, they had the opportunity to perform at the Reperkusound Festival in Lyon, France. They followed this appearance with four more EPs: Oxydizer EP in 2012, Razor Edge in 2012, Black Sun in 2014, and You Walk Away in 2014. They have already gained mass recognition internationally due to the fact that they became so successful so young (both were born in the later 1990s). They have described their sound as dark, but rhythmic and melodious.
