Buster Posey was born in Leesburg, Georgia on March 27, 1987. He was the first-round pick of the San Francisco Giants in the 2005 MLB Amateur Draft. His current position is catcher and first baseman. He made his debut on September 11, 2009. He was part of the All-Star Games in 2012, 2013, 2015 to 2018. He has also been named as the NL Rookie of the Year. In 2012, he was named as the NL MVP. He also earned the NL Hank Aaron Award, NL Comeback Player of the Year, and the NL batting title. He was also the Wilson Defensive Player in 2015 and 2016. He bagged the Gold Gloves award in 2016 he also received four Silver Sluggers – in 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2017.
