FaZe Rug who was born as Brian Awardis became popular on YouTube for his prank videos. He was born on November 19, 1996, in San Diego, California.

He started uploading videos related to Call of Duty on his channel in 2015. Most of his earlier videos were about gaming, and he attracted attention in YouTube because of the games he uploaded on his channel. As his viewers increased in number, he started to upload other types of content including his pranks. He became better known for his pranks. One of his most popular videos is his Cocaine Prank.

He joined FaZe Clan, one of the top esports team founded in 2010, as one of the directors. Several popular YouTubers such as Alex Prynkiewicz or FaZe Adapt is also part of the clan.
