Bontan

Jamal Banton, who is known by his stage name of Bontan, is a DJ hailing from Northern England. He took an interest in and began producing house-style music when he was just 18 years old, and would later befriend some of the local DJs and musicians that offered him unique perspectives on music-making. After going to the nightclub Southport Weekender and witnessing the talent of the DJs who were performing, Bontan purchased the software he needed to begin producing his own beats religiously. He eventually released his debut EP entitled “Hit It From the Back”, and since then, he has received tremendous airplay on the British radio stations. In addition to his remixes, Bontan is also known for his original productions, such as the track “Move On Out”, released in early 2014.
