Black Crown Initiate

Black Crown Initiate is a metal band formed in 2012 in Reading, Pennsylvania. The group is made up of James Dorton, Ethan McKenna, Samuel Santiago, Nick Shaw, and Andy Thomas. The group issued Song of the Crippled Bull, their debut EP, through digital sites in 2013 before signing with eOne. The next year, they went on tour with other metal bands including Behemoth, 1349, and Goatwhore.

The band’s debut LP, The Wreckage of Stars, made it to No. 18 of the Billboard Heat chart. The album includes the tracks “Withering Waves,” “Great Mistake,” and eight others. This was followed by another album, Selves We Cannot Forgive, in 2016 still under eOne. The album includes the title track, “For Red Cloud,” “Transmit to Disconnect,” “Belie the Machine,” and four others.
