Billy Currington, born in Savannah, GA, is a American country musician. He has released five studio albums, starting with a self-titled album in 2003 and ending in his latest release, 2013’s We Are Tonight. His first single, 2003’s “Walk a Little Straighter” drew upon Currington’s experience growing up with an alcoholic father. He is signed to Mercury Nashville. He was nominated for one Grammy award and three ACM awards in 2010 for his song “People are Crazy”, and won 2006’s CMT Music Award for the music video for his song “Must Be Doin’ Something Right”. He had a hit duet with Shania Twain in 2004 called “Party for Two”. He has hit the Country Top 40 charts with songs like “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right”, “Good Directions”, “Pretty Good at Drinkin’ Beer” (co-written by Troy Jones), “Let Me Down Easy”, “Love Done Gone”, and “Like My Dog”.
