Born in Austin, Texas, on April 4, 1996, Austin Mahone is a singer/songwriter who first garnered fame when he posted some of his songs to his YouTube profile one summer in 2010. The posts gained him the recognition he needed, as well as a large fan base, and he was quickly signed to Chase/Universal Republic Records, releasing his debut single “11:11”, followed by the song “Say Somethin’”, both in 2012.

2013 saw Austin Mahone’s announcement that he had been selected as an opener for Taylor Swift on her Red Tour, and later that year, he was honored by MTV as one of the year’s Artists to Watch. He released his first EP Extended Play in 2013, followed by The Secret in 2014. Austin Mahone was later signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records.
