Astrid S

Astrid S born  Astrid Smedplass in the town of Berkak, Norway. She is an electronic pop and R&B singer who auditioned on the show Pop Idol in 2013 placing number 5. She got her start in music at an early age playing the piano at age six and learning several instruments after that. Her first single titled ‘2 a.m’ won her fans from all over the world. She was named a Spotify Nordic Spotlight artist in 2016 and NYLON magazine called her “Norway’s next great pop export”. She worked on her solo track ‘Hyde’ which was produced by Lido and co-produced by Cal Maui & Blisse. The track was showcased on Fader magazine and was her first single since ‘2 a.m.’ She also did a collaboration with Avicii in July of 2015 on the song ‘Waiting For Love’.  Astrid won her first MTV EMA award last fall as the best Norwegian act and best song at the Norwegian Grammy Awards.
