Andre Ingram

Andre Ingram is an American professional basketball player born in Richmond, Virginia on November 19, 1985. He currently plays as a shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. Ingram had a love for basketball from a young age and was an integral part of his high school team’s victories. He went on to attend college at American University, where he started in all 31 games he played in as a freshman and won the Patriot League Freshman of the Year. In 2007, he was drafted by Utah Flash in the seventh round of the 2007 NBA Development League Draft. Ingram was with the team for four years and became the team’s all-time leading scorer with 2,098 points. In 2012 he joined the Los Angeles D-Fenders and became the team’s leader in three-pointers. He stayed with the team until 2016 and after leaving signed with the Perth Wildcats that same year. While with the Wildcats he played 2 games in 2016 and left the team due to mental health issues. In 2017 he went back to the Los Angeles D-Fenders and played with the team for the 2017-1018 season. He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and played in two games in the 2017-2018 season, becoming the oldest American rookie making their NBA debut since 1964 at 32 years old.
