Alvaro Soler

Alvaro Soler is a Spanish singer born in Barcelona, Spain on January 9, 1991. He gained his initial success in Latin America and across Europe in 2015 after the release of his hit single “El Mismo Sol.” A second version of the song was recorded featuring Jennifer Lopez for release in the United States and the United Kingdom. In 2010 he started a band with his brother and friends named Urban Lights and competed in 2013 in the Spanish music casting contest ¡Tú sí que vales! and finished in the final 8 in the contest. In 2014 Soler decided to go solo and released the single “El Mismo Sol” in 2015 that became an instant hit and reached number 1 on the Italian FIMI and Swiss Hitparade singles chart. Later that year he released his debut solo album Eterno Agosto with the Universal Music label. In 2018 he released his second studio album Mar de Colores. Soler has been nominated for several awards for his music and has won a Swiss Music Award, a LOS40 Music Award, a European Border Breakers Award and others.
