Against Me!

Coming from Gainesville, Florida, Against Me! is a punk rock band. Originally, it was an acoustic solo project by Laura Jane Grace. She started performing at the age of 17. In 1997, Grace started performing solo acts and in 2001, she was joined by guitarist James Bowman, bassist Andrew Seward, and drummer Warren Oakes. Inclusive is the group’s braggadocio Billy Bragg which gave birth to Against Me!.

As a band, in 2002, they issued a fan favourite “Reinventing Axl Rose.” Then in 2003, “As the Eternal Cowboy” was released under Fat Wreck label. Then “The Original Cowboy” followed. Against Me! landed a publishing deal with Sire Records in 2005, releasing “Total Clarity”, a rough version of their “Searching for a Former Clarity” album.
